Weekend College Football Travel: Fly In, Fly Out Stadiums

Advertisements

Aside from the sheer number of FBS stadiums, there’s a reason the college football travel bucket list is the most elusive – college towns are often secluded. From Boone, North Carolina, to Pullman, Washington, getting to any number of the 134 FBS venues (as of 2024) is an enormous undertaking. But that’s not always the case. Looking to knock some more accessible stadiums off your bucket list? Let’s check out the FBS stadiums closest to major airports for your next weekend college football trip.

For this list, we narrowed down “major airports” as 2,000,000 annual enplanements for 66 airports nationally. We also removed shared NFL stadiums, as those often sit in downtown areas. Looking for quick weekends to Miami, Pitt, or Temple? Nearby metro airports have you covered.

Now, let’s take a look at FBS stadiums within 10 miles of a major airport to set up your next college football travel weekend.
